A major show of Desmet’s work at the Escher in The Palace Museum from November 2025-March 2026 saw every room in the palace re-curated with works by Desmet and Escher. Each room was curated with a different theme of related Escher and Desmet works including portraits of friends and family; Italian and other landscapes; the city by night; the Tower of Babel; and metamorphoses and tessellations. Desmet has been described by the museum as “The British Escher” and the exhibition drew 34,000 visitors.
